Ron Lundy, who wrapped his on-air exuberance in a soft Southern drawl
during more than 30 years as a rock ’n’ roll D.J. in New York City,
died Monday in Oxford, Miss. He was 75 and lived in Bruce, Miss.
(population 2,097).
The cause was a heart attack, said his wife, Shirley.
“Hello, Love — this is Ron Lundy from the greatest city in the world!” was his longtime catchphrase.

I like your essay on the Beatles audio. Not to belabour the issue. . .well, okay, to belabour the issue: If you go to the Beatles VI album, 'Tell Me What You See," they are even at that later point (not just the first two Lps) using that exceptionally discrete mikeing of instruments. Recently, I noticed several Top 40 radio stations back in the day, would list an entire Monkees' lp, at a single survey position, as if it were a single such as their "More Of The Monkees" lp (see position #5 on the survey below).Recently, I played "Hold On Girl" from the "More Of The Monkees" lp. What Monkees' lp cut (non-single) do you recall hearing on Top 40 radio, back in the day?
